Medizinisch Wissenschaftliche Verlagsgesellschaft (MWV) publishes reference books, textbooks and scientific books as well as ebooks for professionals and students in Medicine, Nursing and Health Care Management. Since 2005 over 4000 editors and contributors published their works at Medizinisch Wissenschaftliche Verlagsgesellschaft. The publishing house is located vis-á-vis Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Medizinisch Wissenschaftliche Verlagsgesellschaft (MWV) was founded by Thomas Hopfe, MD, the publishing director and owner. Before he started with MWV in Berlin he was program director of the field of Medicine at Urban&Schwarzenberg Munich/Baltimore and Springer Heidelberg/Berlin/NewYork (now SpringerNature). In more than 25 years about 1,800 new book publications were initiated and to a large extent conceived by Thomas Hopfe. Before he started his publishing career, Thomas Hopfe worked as an specialist in Intensive Care Medicine at Berlin University Hospitals.
